Get into the thick of it
Go deep into the things that bind us – food, wine, terrior. Don’t skim the surface; instead sift through the layers that create a culture and pay homage to the gatekeeper of a terroir. Whether you are with us for a few hours learning about the foods that connect us or for a week exploring an area you won’t find in your guide book we want to share with you what we love: cooking, wine appreciation, being in nature, respect for a place and a desire to share, connect and discover.
Bespoke private tours off the beaten path, intimate cooking classes that end around the table with a glass of wine, up the side of a mountain gazing down on vineyard we have just visited. This is the opposite of a whirlwind tour, no check lists to cross off manically, but rather a slow deep travel into the heart of places we know and love, visiting suppliers from the area, walking paths into the natural beauty that lies around every corner in most of Italy, passing by sheep to eat polenta in a mountain hut, getting our hand dirty with pasta making and learning why your nebbiolo doesn’t taste like oak but rather the actually soil that you are standing on.

RETREATS
These retreats offer off-the-beaten-track experiences in Italy. Alice and Danilo open the door to their secret corners of Italy that are marked by personal relationships with wine producers, farmers and artisians. Guided hiking through local landscapes, plant-forward delicious meals by a professional chef, cooking courses, daily wine lessons and local visits all make up the journey of really getting to know a place.
This is travel that comes full circle
And what better way to immerse ourselves than through movement: on foot, up a mountain or across a lush vineyard as you see firsthand where the local grape varieties are grown, or breathing in local smells as we recharge and nourish our bodies through yoga. Recharge. Relax. Nourish. Learn. This is travel that comes full circle.
By tuning into where you are and your own body, the pleasure of sitting around a table nourishing yourself with honest food is that much greater/ more profound. You have exerted yourself and acquired new skills and knowledge. (Plus, there’s nothing more delicious than a meal earned!) This isn’t a visit; it’s an experience.
Shared meals, group activities, and the communal love for yoga and wine created an inclusive environment where friendships flourished. Alice and Danilo ensure that the experience went beyond the yoga mat and wine glass.
